The devastating earthquake of 2072 BS was a turning point for Nepal's construction sector, exposing the urgent need for safer, lighter, and earthquake-resilient building materials. Traditional red bricks — heavy, weak, and environmentally damaging — were no longer sufficient for Nepal's future.
This is why Mechi Industries was founded in 2021 with a single mission: to manufacture the best AAC block in Nepal. We produce sand-based AAC blocks that are up to 80% lighter than red bricks, fire resistant up to 4 hours, and specifically engineered for Nepal's seismic conditions.
